Psychedelic Experiences
What is a psychedelic experience?
The term psychedelic literally means ‘mind-manifesting or soul-revealing’.
Traditionally in our culture, this concept has been associated with the use of mind-altering drugs like LSD or psilocybin that have the potential to change how you see, feel, and sense the world.
But psychedelic experiences are not limited to taking a large dose of these drugs or others like them.
Breathwork, ceremonial cacao, dream states, meditation, and being in nature can all open our minds and consciousness beyond what we have previously experienced.
My story with psychedelics…
My first psychedelic experience occurred with the introduction of somatic breathwork in early 2022. I had been struggling with strange, constant itching and burning all over my body, and nothing I did relieved it.
I felt like I was going CRAZY!
I knew my body was trying to tell me something, but I could not figure it out. Thankfully, out of nowhere, I received an invitation to try an online breathwork journey to relieve stress, pressure, and suppressed emotions.
Although I had no idea what to expect, I was willing to try anything.
The experience was life-changing, and I immediately knew this was not only a new way for me to connect with my body, but also that I wanted to learn how to facilitate these experiences for my clients.
I devoted myself to a breathwork practice and watched everything shift in my life.
I felt:
more at ease in my body
more patience with my children
more aware of my inner thought life
more connected to my emotions
calm in stressful situations.
I also noticed that my family was experiencing similar things even though none of them was doing breathwork.
As my nervous system was being regulated, theirs was also. This neuroscience phenomenon is called co-regulation, and I was witnessing it firsthand.
After 18 months of breathing and facilitating for my clients, I chose to begin microdosing with psilocybin, which then led to a full journey.
I used my understanding of astrology and breathwork to guide my journey and the integration afterward.
Over time, combining these three healing tools radically changed my life, leading to further training and use with my clients.
How I approach the use of psychedelics…
Because I am deeply devoted to helping women return to sovereignty and authority within their bodies, I strongly believe most women start with breathwork, ceremonial cacao, and connecting with their personal astrology before moving to psilocybin or other plant medicines.
Together, these three are a gentle combination for the body, but they're often powerful enough to open you to the changes you want in your life.
Once you’ve experienced these, if you still want a deeper experience, you will move on to 4 weeks of microdosing.
During this time, you will still be offered breathwork and astrology exploration to support your integration.
